Hi, I'm Fatima!

I am a mother to 4 and have been passionate about childbirth and women's birth options since my journey to motherhood first started in 2005.  During my first pregnancy and birth, I witnessed such a variance of care between providers that it really sparked my passion in helping all women get the most supportive, empowering and respectful care they can during this truly special time in their life.

Since then, every birth and postpartum experience that I had opened up my eyes to another aspect that helped me understand more of what birth could really be like- more of the power, strength and confidence it could lend a woman and her family.

I hope to make this transformative time in your family's life even more personalized and meaningful by giving you tools to achieving an intentional and positive birth experience.

I continue to learn and grow every day, and every birth I attend is as special to me as the first one I attended.

My goal as your doula is to help provide you with the knowledge and resources you need to navigate your birth, while being your number one support system and advocate during your birth and postpartum.  My priority is for you to have a calm, empowering, and stress-free birth experience and to provide you with the comfort and support you need during one of the most transformational times of your life.

On a personal note, I come from a large family of 7 siblings (and absolutely love it), am a mother to 4 kiddos, and love spending time hiking, 'zenning' with my cup of coffee and getting lost in a good book.  I am fluent in Arabic and English and love serving diverse families of all racial and religious backgrounds, including families of color and Muslim families.   I love each birth I have attended including my experiences supporting VBAC parents, first-time (and fourth-time!) parents, hospital and home births and twin water-births.  I believe sharing experiences will help families discover all the possibilities and opportunities open to them.
